Philipsburg, St. Maarten Travel Diary Pt. 1

Philipsburg, Sint Maarten

Bonjour! First stop of our cruise was at Philipsburg, St. Maarten. Torn between two islands, Saint Martin (French side) and Sint Maarten (Dutch side). Can't help but question myself what's the difference between the two? I found the answers on Google. Finally, clarity! We went on a private tour around the city and the tour guide took us to the best of both worlds. And yes, you can cross the borders without dealing with customs/immigration. Perfect time to be road tripping to the french side and dutch side. I wish our tour guide explained more about everything especially the places we went. Was ready to take notes but it was quick. Drop off, take pictures, tells a little about the place then back to the car again. I was left wanting more but I'll try my best to remember each places we went to.

Where To Go and What To Do:
Bikini Beach, Saint Martin (French side). Located at the French side, this is probably one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. Fine sand, beautiful shades of blue of the ocean, towering coconut trees and laidback environment. Major postcard moment.

Flea Market. Items in the flea market where we went were pretty pricey I must say. I was expecting a little low on prices since it's on a flea market. Keychains were sold for 5USD each. Later on after spending a good amount of money on keychains, I found a retail store that sells 3 dollar keychains and the quality is way better.
