Fort Lauderdale Travel Diary

Started my month of June traveling to somewhere tropical. With the relentless cold Park City has been offering during the spring, I deserved to be somewhere hot and humid. As a summer welcome, I made my way back to Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a family cruise. It was raining when we got there but it didn't hinder us from wandering. Luckily, the hotel where we stayed is near Fort Lauderdale beach. It's my first time in the Fort Lauderdale beach and it such a beaut even though it's gloomy. Not crowded at all, tranquil and all you hear is the gushing waves of the beautiful ocean. Perfect time to meditate after a slepless flight. Prayed for some spurt of sun but it never happened. Summer has ended in the other side of the world, while we are just about getting started. Hello Summer 2017! You are highly awaited.

Take a trip down memory lane from my last year's trip to Fort Lauderdale here.

Where To Stay:
Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach. 801 Seabreeze Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. I also recommend where we stayed last year which is Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina, 1881 SE 17th St, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. This time, we stayed at Bahia Mar which is just a walking distance away from Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. They even have a bridge access from the beach to the hotel. They also have a yachting center.

Where To Go and What To Do:
Fort Lauderdale Beach Park. Finally I got to be with the beach in Fort Lauderdale. Last year, we didn't get a chance to. It was a gloomy day so the beach was sort of empty. I love non crowded beaches though. Perfect time to meditate and be one with mother nature.

Breezes Cafe. This is the restaurant inside the hotel where we stayed at. Their crème brûlée is bomb diggity. That's the only food that I remember since the other was meh. They also have bomb banana pancakes for breakfast.
